My short musical, Rebel Girls, is going to appear as part of Playground Chicago’s next Monday Night Playground. This event features six musicals inspired by folk music.
This showcase will take place on Monday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m. Central, both in-person at Theater Wit in Chicago and simulcast online. Admission is free, but tickets (both for the in-person and online performances) can be reserved at the Playground Chicago website.
Rebel Girls was inspired by turn of the century protest folk—specifically the Joe Hill’s “Rebel Girl”— and follows three activists of different ages as they discuss what it means to do the work while a protest rages outside.
